Visual Rhetoric Assignment

For my visual rhetoric assignment, I chose the political cartoon pictured above. I chose this image because the statement it makes is obvious from the image itself, even without the assistance of a caption. The use of ambulances in the cartoon not only relates to the topic of health care, but also implies distress or injury, which is effective in conveying the message the image is trying to present. The cartoon is aimed toward a public audience, and presents an argument relevant to a popular political topic.
