Research Paper Audience and Plagiarism

I am writing my persuasive research paper on embryonic stem cell research. I'm gearing the paper to be for an uneducated audience. I'm assuming the audience who will be reading my paper knows little if anything about stem cell research, so I'm trying to explain in simple ways throughout the paper.

To avoid plagiarism, I'm citing my sources but putting the information I gain from them in my own words. Plagiarism is where you present someone else's words or ideas as your own. By citing the sources I use in my research, I will credit the ideas in the paper to the appropriate author.
